AriSEIA's Program Manager, Nick Arnold, is a lifelong Arizonan who has focused his career on building public engagement and political power for climate action and clean energy transition. His work at AriSEIA focuses on legislative advocacy, as well as quantitative analysis and broad policy support.
Nick started in energy policy as an undergraduate at the University of Arizona where he worked with advocacy partners to uplift student voices on the Corporation Commission's Value of Solar docket. Shortly after, he organized student engagement with policymakers about the Clean Power Plan.
Through that student engagement, Nick got involved in political campaigns and worked on three state level campaigns. After 2020, he joined Climate Cabinet to initially run their Public Power Program where he built a national database connecting municipal utilities with their energy ownership and elected leadership to identify opportunities to elect pro-clean energy local leaders who could directly transition their community's energy portfolio.
In 2023, Nick became Climate Cabinet's first state lead representing the organization at the Arizona Legislature for the past three legislative sessions covering climate and clean energy issues while also directing strategic electoral support to build clean energy political power.
Nick has a BS in Systems Engineering and an MPP, both from the University of Arizona. He is based in Tucson, AZ and serves on the executive committees of several nonprofit organizations.
