East Valley Co-Op Launches, Informational Meeting to be Held in September 
  • The East Valley Solar Co-Op is up and running, and will hold an information session on September 24 at 6:30 p.m. at HD-South: Gilbert Historical Museum.

Kinect Energy/Banner Health Issues RFP for On-site Solar EPC Services & PPA Financing 
  • Kinect Energy has issued an RFP for on-site solar EPC services & PPA financing for Banner Health. The Intent to Bid Notification/Questions Deadline is September 4, and the Response Deadline is September 13. 
  • Click here to learn more. Please note that the utility service provider listed in the Banner Health RFP is incorrect. The correct utility is SRP (not APS).

Tesla Responds to ACC Battery Safety Concerns
  • Earlier this week, Tesla submitted a response to Arizona Corporation Commissioner Sandra Kennedy’s August 2 letter regarding lithium ion battery safety.

APS Issues New Renewable Energy RFPs 
  • APS announced plans to issue two new RFPs by September 15. 
  • The first seeks proposals for up to 150 megawatts of APS-owned solar resources to be in service by 2021. The second seeks proposals for up to 250 megawatts of wind resources to be in service no later than 2022.

Arizona no longer has a dedicated state energy office, even as the current Republican governor has worked to encourage manufacturing of renewables and batteries. I’m so thankful for your helpful post!
